It’s the faint church bells chimes of nearby monasteries that immerses me in my surroundings. Coffee on the roof top terrace is welcoming, while watching the sunrise above from the neighbouring islands and view the glistening rays sparkle on the morning sea. The streetscape hustle begins as the locals start their day, with fresh aromas descending from the local bakeries with all the virtue it needs.

There’s more to this place than the rooftop terrace vibe. It’s a perfect place to linger, entertain, work or just exhale. A place where stories can pause, or pivot. Daily decisions are endless when time does not matter. Which beach is it today? Should I make time to see the island's sites? Where will lunch be? Can I sneak in some shopping?

Salty hair, just don't care. Sunkissed from another beach day. Exhausted from the decisions of the taverna menu: should we order the octopus and calamari again? Continue the dream with an afternoon siesta. Awake and follow the staircase to where the day began, the roof top terrace. Lust in the sea breeze and watch the soft glow of the sun cast a warm hue over the rocky landscape. Cheers to another magnificent Mediterranean sunset and watch Kalymnos light up as it transitions to night.

Night falls, Taverna choices are endless, the fresh produce and daily catches, transport me. Yiamas – Cheers. A stroll on the harbour, check out the boutiques or be summoned for a nightcap, among its usual assortment of regulars and travellers and faces you know from somewhere (though it’s impolite to stare). New chapters begin.
